To ensure your handcrafted light remains a centerpeice in your home for years tom come, please follow these simple care guidelines:
Dust Regularly: Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth to remove dust. Avoid abrasive sponges or scouring pads that can scratch the finish.
Avoid Moisture: Timber and water don’t mix well. If you need to clean a mark, use a slightly damp cloth and wipe dry immediately. Never use harsh chemical cleaners or sprays.
Mind the sun: While timber loves light, prolonged exposure to direct, harsh sunlight can cause the wood to fade or develope “tan lines”.
Bulb choice for single light pendants: To protect the integrity of the timber and the finish, only use LED bulbs. They emit minimal heat. compared to traditional halogens, keeping the wood cool and preventing warping.
Natural Aging: Over time, your timber may deepen in colour. This is a natural process and a sign of a high-quality, organic material.
Warranty
Danmade lighting is backed by a five-year limited warranty. The commitment covers the repair or replacement of any fixture that exhibits defects under normal use, as determined by the Maker. To maintain the integrity of your piece, please note:
Professional Installation: All fittings must be installed by a licensed electrician in accordance with Australian safety regulations. Valid claims for electrical components require proof of professional installation (e.g., a certificate of compliance or invoice).
Exclusions: This warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, unauthorized disassembly, or improper installation—including inadequate care of wiring connections.
Natural Character: As these are designer pieces, variations in colour, subtle surface imperfections, and the natural patina of aging materials are celebrated characteristics and are not classified as defects.
Claims: Please contact Dan with your original invoice number to initiate a claim. Note that return postage costs are the responsibility of the client.

Design Scope & Limitations
While their is immense pride in artisanal work, Danmade Lighting is not liable for the following:
Shipping & Logistics: Delays or delivery failures caused by events outside our direct control (such as natural disasters, strikes, or third-party carrier issues).
Third-Party Labor: Any loss or damage resulting from the work of tradespeople, builders, or electricians hired independently by the customer.
Misuse & Alterations: Issues arising from improper installation, modifications, or using the product in a way it wasn’t designed for.
Handmade Character: Part of the beauty in Danmade lighting is its soul. Minor variations in colour, texture, or finish are natural characteristics of the handmade process and are not considered defects.
Orders & Cancellations
Danmade reserve the right to decline any order at their discretion. If the maker need’s to cancel an order, he will make every effort to contact you immediately using your provided details. In these instances, a full refund will be issued via your original payment method.
